How to care for your Scarban C-Section

Cleaning your Scarban C-Section silicone bandage is a straightforward process but it's so important to make sure you get the most out of it!. Here's a summary of instructions to ensure proper care:

  1. Gently Remove the Bandage: Begin by carefully peeling off the Scarban C-Section silicone bandage from the scar area. Take your time to avoid any discomfort or irritation.
  2. Clean the Silicone strip: wash under WARM water with a pea size amount of silicone soap to clean it.
  3. Inspect for Residue: Check both the scar and the silicone bandage for any residue. If there is residue on the bandage, this could affect the stick of the silicone.
  4. Let It Air Dry: Allow the scar area to air dry before reapplying the Scarban C-Section silicone bandage. Make sure the scar is completely dry before reattachment.
  5. Reapply the Bandage: Carefully place the Scarban C-Section silicone bandage back onto the scar, ensuring that it adheres securely. Smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles to maximize contact with the skin.
  6. Follow Usage Guidelines: Adhere to the recommended usage guidelines provided by Scarban. Typically, the bandage should be worn continuously, with periodic removal for cleaning and inspection.

Whilst your Scarban C-Section is drying this is the optimal time to perform your massage. If this is being done using a cream please make sure the cream is fully absorbed into the skin and the area is completley clean and dry before reapplying the silicone strip. If your scar or scar area isn't dry and clean this could affect the lifespan of Scarban C-Section.

We do not recommend the use of oils in conjunction with Scarban C-Section.
